::Buck, the brave and self-confident horse from Disney´s ‘Home On The Range’, enters the stage along with the Canadian-sounding moose Rutt and Tuke from Disney’s ‘Brother Bear’. Kenai and Koda, the bears from ‘Brother Bear’, follow the others onstage in a shower of confetti and white and round giant balloons::
Buck: Are you ready for a party?!
Audience: Yeah!
Rutt: We’re going to celebrate this evening with a song dedicated to The Rangers, eh!
Tuke: A new version of a classic, eh!
::The audience cheers loudly::
Koda and Kenai:
::The lyrics appear on the screen, and the moose, bears and horse gather close together, swaying with the music as they sing::
Blame it all on my roots
I showed up in boots
And ruined your black tie affair
The last mice to know
The last mice to show
I was the last one
You thought you'd see there
And I saw the surprise
And the fear in his eyes
When I took Cat’s glass of champagne
And I toasted you
Said, ‘Gadget, we may be through
But you'll never hear me complain!’
'Cause I've got chipmunks in low places!
Where the vodka drowns
And Moscow nights chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got chipmunks in low places
Well, I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
But then, I've been there before
Everything's all right
I'll just say goodnight
And I'll show myself to the door
Hey, I didn't mean
To cause a big scene
Just give me an hour and then
Well, I'll be as high
As that mousemade tower
That you're livin' in
'Cause I've got chipmunks in low places!
Where the vodka drowns
And Moscow nights chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got chipmunks in low places
I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
But then, I've been there before
And everything is alright
I'll just say goodnight
And I'll show myself to the door
I didn't mean to cause a big scene
Just wait 'til I finish this glass
Then sweet little lady
I'll head back to the bar
And let’s just lift our glass!
'Cause I've got chipmunks in low places!
Where the vodka drowns
And Moscow nights chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got chipmunks in low places!
::As the music dies down, the ensemble bows to the clapping of the audience. The smaller animals get out of the way as the singers come offstage, headed for the green room and the snack trays. Some who were mulling about now quickly run in to fill their plates, knowing there won’t be much left after they’re finished::
